I’ve decided now is the time to dive in all the way. For the past few years I’ve piddled and played at computer servicing as a hobby. The collection of articles I have here on computer topics should indicate how much time I put into it, but always with an eye to serving the (so far) small handful of folks who asked for my help. Now I’m devoting my time to making this more than a hobby.
Most of my effort will be in education and training. That is, while I can do some fixing on both hardware and software, my primary talent is helping other people make peace with their computers. I’ve set up a simple webpage to serve as the gateway for this effort. I posted an ad on Craigslist, and I’m looking into other ways to publicize my service to churches and non-profits in my area. This hinges on the character of my life: learning what I can, then teaching what I know to anyone willing to learn.
I’m not sure how it will affect what I post here, if at all. I suppose I’ll be offering more computer related stuff, but only if I don’t get some other bee in my bonnet. Thanks for taking the time to read this and supporting my effort.
