Just an FYI, folks. I’m not sure what to make of it, but it looks like July might be more entertaining than mere fireworks at the local park. Maybe.
My reading is pretty eclectic. I generally avoid the MSM because, even when they tell the truth, they find some way to disguise it. Mostly I glance at the MSM every now and then to make sure I remember what sewage smells like. Instead, I read all sorts of alternative stuff, from all sides of the political spectrum. I also read lots of economics and market stuff to go with my voracious computer security research — and we can’t forget my readings in general security and secrecy stuff.
But when multiple writers in widely different fields say something similar from their various different angles, it gets my attention. Is everybody going crazy at the same time? That has been known to happen in history, so you have to wonder at times. Lots of folks are suggesting big and crazy stuff will happen this very month. Each of the widely varying sources are saying it about their own particular area of interest, but it all seems to fit together in some way hard to explain.
Given the big names in economics and market news have been whimpering about dangers every week for the past few years, we can discount most of their noise. But when some quiet market technicians say things like that, it matters. They said it, each in different ways, often quite subtly. They get to know stuff primarily because they don’t blab, just drop hints.
It’s a similar story among the preppers and underground patriot types: Lots of noise from a few big names. Then a couple of guys who stick with specialties pipe up and mention stuff they noticed that everyone else missed. Maybe it means nothing, but not likely.
And then there’s the data and info security specialists. Of all people, John Young at Cryptome is making unusual noises. When it comes to the subject matter, I know only what these folks have to say about their respective disciplines. When it comes to realizing someone who never hypes anything and makes nary a dime from their writing starts making noises about challenging times on top of us, I tend to think it suggests there is at least a potential for trouble.
It won’t change what I do; I walk the talk on this blog. My faith is in my Savior, not anything any human produces here in this Vale of Sorrow. However, I suppose it does warrant watching and maybe keeping a bag of organic popcorn on hand just in case the entertainment value of this thing gets big enough to notice.
