I’m off in my own little world today. Not that I can’t stop and take a moment to chat, but don’t expect serious stuff.
So I’ve replaced three of the four motor mounts on our used Volvo and it’s as if it’s not even the same car. Those Swedish engineers are quirky as Hell, and I’ve never seen such oddly designed motor mounts in my whole life, but they sure seem to work well when you fix them. We are truly blessed; those of you who prayed with us while we searched for this car just don’t know what a great deal we got from someone who didn’t have a clue what was wrong with it. There are still a few things to fix, but it’s working really well now.
I’m figuring out this Android tablet stuff. Of course, I already got a keyboard and I’ve ordered a special mouse that works with it. There are too many things I have to do with such a device that simply won’t work that well with touch or a stylus. I’m also getting my laptop tuned up because I’m pretty sure God’s plans for me in the near future will exclude this desktop system. Today I’m adding the “Android” tag to the list of issues I’m covering on this blog.
Not sure if I’ll be around long enough to finish it, but I’ve started cutting a trail in the wooded area I’ve been exploring. It’s something to do while I’m waiting to see what God’s next mission is for me. I have no trouble finding a path of least resistance, so that I’m not really cutting too awful much vegetation, but it’s pretty long trail, so there is some work to it.
I dumped my Seen account. Today it just hit me it was FB with just another flavor and none of the advantages. As Sister Wildcucmber said on her blog today, it’s too bad we can’t all just meet now and then someplace, then write letters or a magazine to keep track of things. Without this blasted electronic crap, it’s wholly unlikely any of us would have ever met. And even when I really have nothing to say, I’m going to write a few words. Nothing I’ve ever used was half so easy as a keyboard and screen with some workings and memory attached. I like the feel of books, but I like even more having an entire metropolitan library in a small shoulder bag.
Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas, Ed.
Likewise, Sister.
