Moving Update

To my virtual parish: Your virtual pastor has seen God’s hand move in mighty ways this past week and I am nearly speechless. The mobile home sold and in a week or so we should be absolved of all legal ownership issues. We have managed to pass on a lot of excess clutter to many of our neighbors who felt it was useful to them. Our footprint on the world is already smaller.

Today we selected our new quarters. This will also take time, but we found an apartment in Midwest City very close to my wife’s work. The trees outside the structure called to us, asking us to stay with them. The management came across as reasonably friendly and seemed interested in my computer skills. We qualify for several discounts so rent is manageable.

It’s not written in stone yet, but we have faith Our Father is at work. Oh, and a donor has given us the funds to make the move.

I’ll be on the road tomorrow and the weekly Bible lesson in Psalms may be posted later than usual. My Dad has moved into a senior care facility in the SE corner of the state and it appears he can no longer travel on his own. I’m taking my brother with me to see him. I have no idea what’s on his mind, but Dad made the point of asking us to come down. Be in prayer that we can give him some peace at this time; he lives with a lot of regrets. He’s not losing it, but his attitude has changed a lot in the last few years.

Thank you for praying with us. I sense the hand of God in this and many other things coming at us. His mercy is beyond comprehension and His love fills me to overflowing, so feel free to soak up all you want.
