This is a ministry; if you need money for it, I’ll try to do some fund-raising.
But I’ve been asked to develop some graphics to go with my teaching. In particular, I think it would help if someone could diagram some of the stuff that falls into clinical psychology territory. There was a time I played with drawing. I got some training and I have skills, but no significant talent. I cannot bring what I visualize to my hands for drawing. Believe me; I’ve tried and it’s just not there. But I can write about it all day long, so I’m hoping someone out there has the confidence to read my stuff and give it a shot.
You’ll get full credit if you want it; we could make it part of the images themselves. Otherwise, we just need to work on a curriculum that will help some folks over the hump of understanding. I’m willing to dig into writing something that might pass for clinical description, so let me know in the comments or by email if you feel like giving it a shot.
Update: I’ll be starting a new series tomorrow. If anything inspires you, feel free to toss out a drawing any time during the series that you feel captures things. You can email it to the address visible about half-way down the right sidebar.
I’m an arter, which means I’m gifted but, didn’t go to art school to be trained as an artist so, I’m an arter. I got a good eye and paint mainly non-figurative work known as modern. Figurative painting is a matter of technique and poses no challenge which is why I create N-F work from nothing. I can’t explain it no gooder than that. I’m willing to try but, sometimes it can take a long time others it can happen very quickly. I’ve been kinda feeling the urge lately as I’ve laid claim to my son’s room when he leaves for college although my daughter’s has better light. Then again so does the dining room we never use. Mmm…it bears some praying although just tapping this out fills my inner eye with flashes of color. Weird huh?
Iain, the big trick here is that whatever one draws must somehow be put into an electronic format so we can pass it around and store it on computers. So if you do it by hand on physical media, we still need to scan it or something.
Yeah, that is true and I just create things for my own amusement anymore. Recently, I’ve made my bike and I a rolling art exhibit. Compliments are nice because creative people have fragile egos when it comes to their work. So if you gotta make a choice between artwork remember artists talents vary but, they all put heart and soul into what they create.
