Lying Political and Economic Theories

Take a look at all the various political and economic theories currently promoted. Contrast that with what God said in His revelation. Sure, you can read any of the current theories back into the Bible and get whatever you like. If you are honest, you know that the Bible promotes tribal politics and social structure, reminding us that “nation” means a bunch of folks genetically related and culturally unified. You would realize that economics as a whole is an artificial materialistic construct that denies genuine human need.

Everything God says about human moral behavior requires first and foremost a tribal government. To be specific in academic terms, revelation requires Ancient Near Eastern feudalism. Notice something: Every other theory presumes to rewrite morality. You cannot adhere to the moral character of God and keep any of the theories alive.

Further, each one presumes a radical change in human nature that simply will not happen. We keep getting his bullshit about, “If only…” followed by a description of some change or system of change that is contrary to human nature itself. In other words, all those nice theories have consistently failed to produce the advertised results because they all ignore reality in one way or another. Each one fails to limit human moral evil in any meaningful way, often by refusing to understand The Fall.

The other thing they all share is changing the ultimate goals of human need. Our single greatest need is social stability. Everything other problem we face can be managed if we remember that we are hard-wired to seek social stability first and foremost. Abraham Maslow was full of shit. But what else would you expect to arise from any intellectual frame of reference that ignores the heart-mind?

God has spoken; the burden is upon us to recognize His revelation. Part of that is recognizing that we are wholly unlikely to see any part of His truth obeyed. It also includes not buying into their lies simply because we have no choice but to live in a world that lies about these things. If you invest yourself into any one of those theories, you will have placed a barrier between God and yourself.

All of this is one reason why panarchism interests me, which is an outcome of anarchy where people get to choose which kind of social/organizational model to live under. The reasoning behind it is purely material, so it’s really just Western modernism catching up with itself. It’s not perfect but it would dethrone a lot of institutionalized immorality.
