Don’t dance just yet, because it’s not a “done deal” as we say. I just wanted you to give thanks for what we have so far and pray it goes the rest of the way without trouble.
The City attorney has passed my claim forward recommending full payment. The City Council meets 21 June and my claim will be on their agenda, among all sorts of other things. I have no idea whether the Council tends to debate these things much, but it can’t hurt that the attorney’s office recommends it.
What may not be obvious to most of you is that virtually no one employed by the City can talk to me about much of anything until this claim is settled, due to the way tort laws work. Whatever doors of opportunity may be opened will not be revealed before that decision is final.
