Okay folks, one more time: The biblical doctrine of divine election is not how it is, but simply how it works.
We cannot possibly know how it actually is in Eternity. Scripture makes that clear. We can only know what God wants us to think so that we can operate usefully in His campaign to reclaim the nations back from the Devil and his allies on the Divine Council.
If you can persuade someone to follow Christ, then you have not gained them Eternity. You have only gained them the Covenant on this earth. Whether or not they can actually fulfill the Covenant does not depend on any human decision. It requires the Holy Spirit, and He does not enter a person’s life based on decision. He claims their lives before they are born or He is not there. That’s the whole point of the doctrine.
Therefore, your only task is to first live the Covenant, and then share it with those who ask. If they do not ask, God did not send them. If they do ask, you must assume God sent them. You begin the work of introducing them into the family household. God alone knows if any of us can go the distance.
And in case you’ve forgotten, stop talking about going to Heaven. That’s not where humans go. They go to Hell or Paradise, and they wait until the Final Judgment. Upon the Judgment, God’s family goes back to a new Eden. Everyone else ceases to exist, along with the Devil, the rebel elohim, the Watchers and Nephilim.
All you have to do is demonstrate submission to Christ and hope others take an interest. Sure, feel free to explain when the moment seems right, but we don’t live in the Roman Empire. People today generally do not learn the gospel from preachers on the town square. They learn it from people they encounter who demonstrate the message. Preaching in the open public, you might be able to get an emotional response from some listeners, but the Great Commission does not translate directly to preaching on the streets. The Great Commission means building a community by how you love, wherever God sends you.
Fit your approach to the culture and context. The only thing you are offering is how to submit to Christ as Lord. Everything else is a matter of teaching them how to think like a Hebrew. That’s what Jesus taught.
