Trail: Extra Loop

Because the management of our trailer park continues to hold forth the “forbidden zone” on the east side, I have decided to bring the trail back around to end, for the time being, on the north side of the park.

What this entails is following more or less the path of the draw which runs down through that big piece of property. The water tower behind our house is the high point. The draw drops away NNE. As my current loop comes back south, it intersects this draw sometime in the next hundred yards of cutting. From there I have decided to climb back up the draw. I had considered cutting through the trees on the east side of this draw, but I may need to climb up a bit from the bottom. The draw ends pretty much on the north end of our sewage treatment lagoon. That’s pretty swampy and has some vegetation I don’t want to attack, as it would be far, far more work than what I’m already facing.

As it is, this draw is the widest section plowed down by the bulldozer. That means the four-wheelers have already cut a path of sorts up the draw. I’ll be refining that trail until I get to a drier section of woods. At the head of this draw is a narrow band of woods, and the end point will come out right next to a fenced storage area owned by the park itself. This guarantees no appearance of getting into the forbidden zone.
