Ignore Me If You Can

Fundamental to our message is that we have no intention of convincing anyone of anything.

What we hope is to offer a slice of truth that compels attention of itself. We don’t get in God’s way because we never imagined the results had anything to do with us. We are just the messengers. That’s how things work in the Spirit Realm. We don’t just spin parables in language; we are the parables God uses to present His truth.

Paul says it pretty well in Romans 1:16-32. Whatever it takes for people to be conscious of His truth is already written into Creation itself. God is the only one who understands how that works, and His judgment of what constitutes culpability is what matters. We are fortunate just to be along for the ride.

I’ve been reading some stuff lately that talks about how certain religious groups are secretive. They hide some of the message so that only certain folks who earn the privilege can learn it. We do nothing of the sort. We know that the truth is cloaked to those who cannot see it for whatever reason. But we are quite willing to explain as best we know to all who bother to ask, or who place themselves in a position to hear because it’s just part of what we do. Most importantly, we openly live that truth first so we can gain a hearing.

Feel free to ignore me if you can. If you succeed, my message isn’t for you. I can wait until God makes you hear, whenever that may be. Feel free to take your own path, knowing that if you walk too far away, we’ll separate. That’s not important; you need your path far more than you need my attention. The affection itself is not the thing. Godly affection can grow only where God plants us. Don’t make an idol of the warm feelings.

Sacrificial love is not the goal, merely the tool we use to bring Christ to life.
