This is better than college.
I used to think all my research in the social sciences was informative, that my professional training meant something. Apparently much of it was bullshit. My cynicism was not deep enough. I’m watching as world events make a hash of what I was taught. While I’m sure some of my teachers really believed that crap, I’m equally certain a few of them knew they were lying.
And you know something else? Much of the revisionist stuff is equally false, just in a different way. It’s not that I doubt the sincerity of the revisionists, but they still miss the point on almost everything. It wouldn’t have made any difference where I went for my teacher certification, because the mere existence as an established institution means moral compromise just to open the doors.
The varying approaches to explaining world events all share one fatal flaw: They all assume that truth is within reach of human talents. That some significant portion of their theories seemed to work within a temporary context encouraged them to believe too much their own gibberish.
They believe the shadows have substance. They believe their senses don’t lie to them, at least not all the time. I’m not suggesting that there is no consistency at all to our world, only that you can only take it just so far. You most certainly cannot build moral values from what you can see and understand. You most certainly cannot predict the hand of God as they pretend to do.
We see people of great power and wealth driven to mad schemes that cannot work. But because the momentum is on their side, it does seem to work. You have to marvel at the power of demons over their minds, because they press firmly ahead as if no one can see through their lies. Why are the Western plutocrats so desperate to cause war over the Ukraine, or Syria or Iran? What insanity is it driving them to provoke Russia and China? Do we lack for enemies to hate us?
So we have a lot of crafty sharp minds lying us into wars and equally sharp minds lying about how we could have peace and prosperity. The former listen to demons while the latter pretend they don’t exist. Okay, so maybe they give lip service to the existence of the Spirit Realm, but they refuse to acknowledge the vast lore of what we could know about how that realm operates. They imagine that their reason is sufficient to discern the truth. Heh; it’s another set of demons guiding them, as well.
The saints of God will tribulate. The wise ones are looking forward to tribulation, in the sense that we realize a false peace is worse than a justified storm from God’s hand. The only peace of any lasting value is inside your soul. Are you silly enough to think this blather has no practical use? The only sane way to face suffering and sorrow is to flee more completely into the Spirit Realm. Stop believing in the lies of this realm. It’s not a question of whether this mess is going to be painful, but how you handle that pain.
Even if we imagine that much of this noise about war over these far away lands is just a bunch of posturing and that there won’t be any serious fighting between our troops and those of other empires, it can’t signal good times for us. If you expect a word from God, and your expectations of how such a word comes match how He operates, you will most certainly know how to act to make the most of His glory. Nothing else matters. Once you see that and understand that your greatest welfare is His greater glory, you’ll be willing to ignore a lot of crap and stick with your mission.
Meanwhile, we are going to receive a marvelous education, more than enough for our feeble minds to chew on.
