Quietly, Slowly Unraveling at the Edges

No, not my sanity; that’s long gone. I’m referring to the American Empire.

It would be easy to through lots of links at you, but I’ll let you read for yourself. Try What Really Happened or The Sagebrush Saloon, just to name two sites tracking our nation’s demise. Or if you want a good list of our nation’s unique sins, fully explained, try Pro Libertate. You don’t have to believe everything they tell you on those sites, but the general evidence of our degradation is overwhelming. God is not amused by us any more, and His wrath is even now taking hold of us.

Our sins are massive, but so is our economy and government bureaucracy. Then there are individual states with their own huge mess, like California, bigger than most countries in the world. So it takes awhile for things to really start coming apart. Actually, this has been going on for a long time, but far too few were paying attention. Those with some ostensible responsibility for telling us — the mainstream media — have carefully avoided such notice.

But I’m just a raving lunatic. In other places, I’ve noted I honestly believe the end of this summer no one will be able to ignore it any more. I can only guess what specifically will happen: the dollar will collapse, the American banking system will shut down for a time, the federal government will default on all its debts, asinine laws or edicts (perhaps martial law) will require troops/police forces to brawl with innocent citizens, most businesses will shut down, imports will come to a screeching halt…. you get the picture. It could be any or all of them, or easily things I cannot predict. But I figure just about any way it goes, by the end of September we’ll see blood in the streets. Lots of blood, literally. Please, Lord, let me be wrong.

I’d rather eat big crow on this. Instead, I see more and more unraveling at the edges. That last grain of sand will tip the scales, and it will all spill out. Quietly, so silently, death stalks America.

God help us.

I”m hoping that cooler heads prevail and cap and trade is axed. Even the Dems don’t like it. As for eating crow, I sure hope we both do but lately things are looking rather scary.
