How often have I posted here that God has answered a request? Now imagine what a great many prayers I don’t mention here are still answered.
In the next breath I warn you that your requests must be in pursuit of His glory. If you are still struggling with the fundamentals of what we teach here, your prayers may not see the answers you expect because you struggle with the concept of pursuing His glory. Not so much the desire for His glory, but what it requires of you. On some level, you must gain an instinct that His glory is by far your best interest. If you aren’t driven for His glory, it’s a rough ride, because it means sacrificing almost everything you thought was in your interest before.
We have no interest in correcting this world. We do hope and pray that we can convince people to walk in God’s justice, but we use none of this world’s ways of getting there. It has to be on God’s initiative. There remains a very large degree of mystery there, because He has warned that there isn’t much need for us to know all the details of the times and of human political winds. Foreknowledge in that arena of curiosity would only feed a misguided instinct to “fix things.” So we learn to be philosophical and even deeply cynical of human nature, in the personal and in the mirror, as well as at large.
We note the New Testament warnings about Pharisees in particular and Jewish believers in general. Not so much Jewish people, but those who cling to Talmudic religion. Jesus as the Son of God said it was a problem, a failure to grasp the revelation of God. He used strong words, but showed them no hostility. That’s our plan for dealing with them today, because they are still around and still hostile. Have you seen the content of Charlie Hebdo? It’s anti-Christian in the most vile ways you can imagine (along with anti-Muslim), but it’s somehow politically improper to criticize the magazine. That’s because the magazine is Talmudic, and as such has a powerful political sway in our world today. We aren’t hostile back at them, but pastoral. But the pastor cannot wink at the sin that nailed Jesus to the Cross.
Our Savior went willingly. We follow Him. If they nailed Him to the Cross, what would they wish for those of us who follow Him? Don’t play into their hands as to justify their petty spite. Let us note their works soberly and prepare to face even worse. Our victory is not in human political winds, but in refusing to be drawn down to that level. Our focus is otherworldly. Only while standing beside Our Ascended Lord can we see things from the proper perspective. We are stuck here for the duration of His mission for us, and we intend to live it with relish and joy. This is Our Father’s world. The whole point of His revelation was to help us appreciate the threads of His character yet visible even after the Fall. To live in the thrill of His Spirit by His Laws is the best answer to all sin.
Among the prayer requests I’ve kept before the Lord is that He make me understand some things I see coming. I am utterly convinced that political and social turmoil are coming as part of God’s wrath on Western sin. Having already mentioned a powerful sense of calling to mission in the midst of this storm, I sought to understand why I was so sure the mainstream churches would suffer such that we would see a significant collapse or exodus of membership. Naturally you have to understand that it will not be absolute; such things never are. Rather, it will be a noteworthy shift in things you and I can see in the broader trends.
Perhaps you have noted the paradox of Christian Zionism, the powerful and unwavering political support for Zionism among those so hated by Zionists. Zionism is the major political expression of Talmudic religion. Mainstream Christian religion defends the likes of Charlie Hebdo and other expressions of spiteful abuse of Christian religion. In recent decades we have seen redoubled efforts to discredit the presumed historical foundations of Christianity. How about the Shroud of Turin and all the questions it raises against the New Testament narrative? And the alleged ossuary of Jesus and His relatives in that tomb near Jerusalem? This stuff does not arise by accident. The timing of the announcement of each new discovery is carefully scripted for maximum impact. This is only going to escalate.
What sort of discovery would it take to shake the credibility of mainstream Christian religion? So far Christian leaders have had a quick answer to most of this stuff, digging into the background and shooting it down with their own competent scholarship. So I wonder what the anti-Christian propagandists are saving up for them? You have to know they aren’t going to stop this. At some point some Zionists will calculate that they no longer need the Western churches’ support. They’ll throw the churches under the bus, as it were. It would hardly be unanimous among Zionists to do so; nothing ever is unanimous among Zionists. Still, this will surely happen, and probably sooner than later. (Don’t be surprised if it comes via a recognized Christian scholar.)
My counsel to you, brothers and sisters, is that you not be taken in by the big lie that is coming. To the degree your faith stands on human reason and the appearance of objective fact, you will be shaken. To the degree your faith stands on your own personal connection to Our Living Lord, you’ll be fine. Pray that you are ready, because Our Lord answers such prayers.
