World Upside Down

It is no longer hyperbole to suggest the federal government of the U.S.A., and many state governments therein, have surrendered any claim on legitimacy.

Where do I find words to say this? At this point, I’m either preaching to the choir, or you will surely find me utterly deluded. I often wonder how the fundamental nature of reality shifted without me noticing. People who hold offices of government authority are now remaking the Universe simply by insisting a lie is truth, and truth is a lie. They are usurping God’s throne as Creator, presuming to exercise divine fiat.

In our human minds, we realize there are anecdotes. Lump enough of them together and you have cause for asking questions. When you get enough anecdotes, you have a trend. A strong trend becomes justification for full assertions, such as my first sentence above.

What kind of people are we putting into these roles of authority? How did we get to the place where actual innocence means nothing in a court of law? How did we come to the place where bureaucrats are permitted to twist reality, and judges simply sign off on it? Where court officials can simply lie outright, knowing it will not impede their work if anyone notices?

As a young man, I often shook my head at the wild and crazy statements made by flakes who were arrested, saying God told them the court was wrong. Now I’m finding those disheveled souls were telling the truth, and the folks wearing fine suits were the flakes. The essential assumption behind our Constitution and similar state documents, which leans on the facts and certain verities of human existence, can no longer stand.

How do you respond to that? What happens when you are confronted by a law enforcement officer, knowing all this filth stands behind them? No matter what you say or do, if they decided in their minds you have broken the law, you can’t possibly win. By no means do I counsel anyone how to act, but you surely know: Under the Covenant of Noah, you have no obligation to cooperate with such government, any part of it.

Surely, there are places where it’s not quite that bad. There are some officials who aren’t quite that corrupt. But at what point do you decide you can’t afford to trust them and play along? God help us!
