The Irony of Too Much Information

So, we got this Internet thing humming along, and the whole world can scoop up all sorts of information all in the same instant, on any matter which is published. In general, everyone has equal access to whatever it is, and all at once. We now have the capacity for knowledge to be spread so far and so wide, anyone anywhere can know just about anything.

Yet, so few are able to do much with it. I suppose it’s the difference between knowledge and wisdom.

Now that the floodgates to global sharing are open, what have we done with it? We chatter with complete strangers on the other side of the world about our underwear, or what we had for lunch. If that were merely the friendly intimacy which followed upon great conversations of things important, it would be all good. Sadly, that inane chatter is the whole enchilada for most people.

If anything, we are, as a whole, more idiotic than before. The ignoble attempts of the real government, the Shadow Government, TPTB, to keep us ignorant and open to propaganda is already so well established, they have nothing to fear from the Internet. And those rebel minds who actually have some capacity for thought and consideration and critical analysis won’t be stopped if the Net is turned off.

Net change? The same thing as before, just faster. Stupidity at the speed of light flashed across the globe.
