Imperial Sins

The current target for US invasion is now Syria.
The US has been funding and arming political agitators and paramilitary troops to grossly aggravate the current instability. Most of the mainstream news organizations would go so far as using images from other wars elsewhere to create the impression of just how horrible and insane is the Syrian government in slaughtering her own people. If you really wanted to know the truth, there are a precious few little bits leaking out here and there, even officially, which admit the atrocities are not the work of the Syrian government. So clearly, the plutocrats are cooking up an excuse to invade Syria.
I suspect this will also give Israel an excuse to invade Lebanon again.
None of this will bless anybody on the ground in these places. None of this is supposed to do anything more than press forward the old plan announced some years ago to end up having brought the entire Middle East under our imperial thumb. Piece by piece, we are marching to Persia. We bring no good thing to these people. America itself is so morally bankrupt we simply don’t have the words to express it, so it’s not as if we are helping these countries have a better life. One look at how we treat the civilians in Afghanistan or Pakistan (missile in your children’s bedroom tonight?) and it’s obvious we aren’t doing what’s right for anyone.
Before sin destroys an empire, it always splashes over into misery for everyone within reach. God’s wrath on us is just.
