Trying It Again

I had a devil of a time uploading this picture, something is hindering the upload. I got it on the fifth try. I can’t tell if it’s my ISP (which has been acting suspicious lately) or something wrong with WordPress.

At any rate, this is a selfie I took today just to show how far I’ve gotten with the beard. The last time I tried it, the itching was to the point of being painful. So this time I changed the type of soap I use. It’s Mrs. Meyers Body Wash; it doesn’t dry things out so bad. Also, after washing I rub in a mixture of olive and coconut oil. I mix the two oils half-n-half and heat them just a little until the coconut dissolves into the olive oil. It will stay liquid after that. We’ll see if I can grow hair on the top at all.

Well, hubby has had his beard for years now and i do prefer facial hair on him. Yours grows in and fills out nicely. And, it looks good on you. Just my opinion! Hee hee

Nice, let it get about about six inches long. Forget head hair, a nice purple embroidered fluffy wool hat would be nicer*. It try to grow a full beard until I remember the right side grows down nicely but, in one of God’s many practical jokes that pulls on me (loosing my hair at 25, arthritis at 30, and many many more hilarities) my left side grows horizontally towards my ear.
    * fits in with my comment today on not blending in very well.

When was the last time you tried this?

Looks good, regardless. You have nice coverage.

It was the summer of 2016; not that I remember it so well, but the image was stored here on the blog with the date. I grew a beard in college and it has always been thick like this, just softer when it was brown.
