We Are Not Alone

You can decide for yourself what kind of people are behind it, but this video project seems to offer some very good stuff about the Bible. So far I’ve watched the trio of videos on the Wisdom Literature of the Bible. I can recommend that wholeheartedly.

Keep in mind that what makes Radix Fidem unique is not so much our approach to the Bible, but what we do with the message in Scripture. I’ve often said that an accurate view of Scripture isn’t all that hard, but does seem to be rather rare. But it’s not so rare that we can’t find resources we can use to help us understand it well enough to make decisions that are consistent with our calling and our God’s character.

So when someone comes along and does such good work in promoting an accurate view of the Bible, we can stand with them. I’ll be checking out YouTube page over the next few days to see if the rest of their work is as good as the Wisdom Literature series.

Props to Jay for finding this project for us.

I spent the afternoon enduring simplistic millennial “up talk” like, you know, whatever. I’m sure it’s sketches will offer vanilla wafers and milk nourishment for “today’s youth” but, lacks the depth needed to attract grown ups. I’ll recommend it to my kids and perhaps it will inspire them to ask their old man some questions. I covered the Torah, wisdom literature and the gospel of John before their manner of speech finally wore me out. What I watched, well listened mostly, was free of theological controversy which is good. Still, it’s very much in line with western thought as if it’s “learn this and you’ll be equipped to defend yourself in college”. That’s what I took away from it.

Exactly. It’s a safe first step away from all the traditional mainstream stuff we left behind. It’s not to feed us, but it could help other millennials start looking in a better direction, and maybe prime just a few folks for what we have to say.

    Yes, indeed I concur.
