Who Reigns?

Biblical manhood is defined in America as “toxic masculinity”. That’s the official government definition in most jurisdictions. The question is, guys, are you toxic enough?

Excellent post over on Jack’s blog: The Value of Feminine Humility by guest poster, Red Pill Apostle (RPA). RPA quotes someone else to define feminine humility:

A humble wife appreciates what she has as well as her husband. From this, working as a team can actually be effective. Does anything more need to be said?

Then RPA answers by adding something that needs to be said:

A woman like this has the best chance at getting a husband that would do everything in his power to give her everything she wants and anything he thinks she might want.

Love and humility are two words for the same thing. The comments on that post are very enlightening, offering a strong biblical standard. In particular, deti describes why the failure is so horrific and also so common. I’ll summarize.

Women who insist on getting in their men’s faces are signaling an attack, and men are wired to respond with defense, verbal and/or physical. A woman who is willing to call in a third party (i.e., the state) for the sake of enforcing her will is not on the same team at all, and no man should tolerate it for a second. If men do not rule in marriage totally, then they should never be involved at all.

Either men dominate and reign their households, or that relationship is defiled in God’s eyes. If the man reigns, then God can reign there. It is in the woman’s best interest to learn humility, which sets the man free to be humble with her in return. The woman must learn to negotiate. If she reigns, then Satan reigns.
