Yes, there’s something better, but it’s work to get it, church.
In the loving embrace of my Heavenly Father, I see through His eyes. I cannot be silent; you don’t have to listen, but I refuse to keep it to myself.
First, dump the fiction. If a church body cooperates too much with any human civilian government, that is a Harlot Church, riding the Beast that will soon turn and devour her. Go ahead and ride the merry-go-round. Meanwhile, we who walk in the Spirit have something better. The civil government does not wait upon the will of the people. That’s a damned lie. The civil government looks for opportunities grab godlike powers, creating pandemonium that drives idiots into its arms. Given the way things are degrading, government has done a good job and the pandemonium continues on its own momentum. Do not fight the government as a matter of habit, but avoid and resist quietly.
God is our government; He condemns human government that does not obey His Laws. We do not trust the Beast.
Create your heavenly nation afresh in your congregation of believers. This is your tribe. No one in your congregation should ever turn to the civilian government for anything voluntarily. Real families built on Christ share in the sorrows and give people time to adjust. You can’t simply support all the bad habits of believers who haven’t yet figured things out, but let them know the social welfare system is a trap, a slavery and bondage. Avoid it as much as possible. Meanwhile, rise up in spiritual authority against their sins. Guide them to the truth. Don’t let them abuse their children or spouses, for example. Press the truth upon them, so that they either conform or stop pretending to follow Christ. There comes a point when a really horrific testimony is a threat to the spiritual family; your elders will know because that’s how God does things.
Your spiritual family is your government and your primary economy. Everything you do with material goods, services and all commerce begins with the church family. We do business first with our own — that’s how a godly tribe does things. Yes, it takes a long time to teach that ANE feudal outlook to Westerners; that’s what a church is supposed to do. If you don’t have it from the start, then you don’t have a church. It won’t matter what you call it. A church is not a social club of acquaintances.
Obey Your Lord and Master, church.
