Tsunami of Tyranny

In general, the smallest unit of cognition for me is a paragraph. It’s useful for seeing large ideas in even larger contexts, but it really stinks on details.
I read a lot of Science Fiction and Fantasy in early adulthood. I rarely recall authors and titles unless something about their works burns itself into my memory. It’s the content I rarely forget. One story lost in my internal reference system described a vast city contained inside a single shopping mall. Inside the mall, the shoppers were bombarded with electronic impulses which drove to them to buy and consume, and offered in the same mall the cheap remedies of over-consumption. So there were massive numbers of food vendors and most shoppers were not even consciously aware they had purchased something and ate it. But they got hugely fat hanging out in the malls, and between the food shops were something equivalent to liposuction clinics.
This was written long before I had ever heard of high-fructose corn syrup and all the other nasty ingredients in our food carefully calculated to make us fat and always hungry. But of course, our national corpulence becomes the excuse for the Nanny State to demand authority to make us all slim down, using an entirely unscientific and bogus model of nutrition, of course. Somebody somewhere has to know this whole thing is just as wicked and nasty as the system suggested in that Science Fiction piece I can’t recall.
So, how many other areas of our lives are threatened by similar pincer actions? GMOs and Big Pharma, pedophile bureaucrats prosecuting civilian pedophiles, FBI fake bomb plots and the TSA, etc. Stop and think, folks. The world has not previously seen such a well coordinated campaign so vast and all encompassing as we see today. How many distractions does it take to keep the activists busy?
Understand, the evil genius behind all this knows some of these ploys will be shot down. The sheeple will bleat and stampeded against a few of them, always. So while a few of these efforts will be shut down, the underlying changes will not be stopped. Every popular activist social and political issue is just another symbol of some deeper and sinister effort. No, it’s not necessary to pin down a single human intelligence behind all this, or even parts of it, nor an identifiable group conspiracy. All you have to understand is what you see. It’s my nature to not get lost in all these different causes and OccupyWhatever efforts. I tend to see the similarities in things without conscious effort. While that may tag me as a crank and nut, I contend you could see it if you wanted.
I don’t have to trace the direct lineage between Satan, his demons, and who on earth serves him knowingly, and who unknowingly. God knows and sees all. My mission and calling is to see what He wishes to show me, as a vessel He has prepared for His purpose.
What I see is not a mass of individual efforts, but a collection of efforts approaching us like a vast upheaval in the ocean from an ever larger shift in the tectonic plates of the ocean floor. That single wave stretches from one horizon to the other, but people will feel only the part that hits them hardest. Obey your own calling and commitment from God, but never lose sight of the larger mission of revealing His glory to mankind. Never lose sight of how the Enemy operates in that it always opposes something in the nature of how God operates.
Americans, you can be sure your property will be seized piecemeal by dozens of different agencies, each in their own fashion. Guns will be outlawed incrementally, even as our alleged right to speak and express our political will has been silenced already. You are being enslaved, constricted in your movements in every way imaginable. Your freedom to choose what goes into your body is already nearly gone. You can easily tick off the list of those first ten amendments as to what’s dying and what’s already dead. In case you never noticed, the States’ rights was the first to go, long before. Much of what has changed on paper has not yet been implemented, but when has that ever failed in the long term? The attack is too broad and the servants of tyranny too many and too well organized to stop this time.
Please, open your eyes and see this. Because the threat is so vast, the only defense is the power of God in the millions of contact points in this world. We don’t have to organize on this world’s terms; we can all be connected through the much greater coordination of Heaven. Human uniformity is anathema. Decide in your own heart what you must do, what barriers you must erect such that you’re willing to see bloodshed rather than submit. It will be tested all too soon.

Nobody Is Ready

The burden on my soul tonight is massive.
Dependence in itself is not a sin, nor necessarily a symptom or result of sins. It’s what you do with your dependencies.
In ancient times, righteous people would keep an eye out for widows and orphans, the most vulnerable in their society. When things worked well, the clan took them into their homes, as required by God’s Laws. Too often, they would find themselves isolated when the man of the house died, because they weren’t near any relatives on either side, perhaps in a foreign land. You may remember the story of Ruth.
In modern times, orphans are kidnapped by the state and we seldom see them again. We are left with single moms, sort of a widow-in-effect in our badly broken world. My community has several of them. In yet another symptom of our broken society, most of them are a bottomless pit of neediness in one way or another, and it affects their chances of gaining another breadwinner. A few are quite attractive, but they chase the wrong kind of men, or quickly betray their other flaws and even good guys won’t hang around.
Game Theory explains most of it, but that’s not what this is about.
Rather, it’s another chance to examine the fatal flaw in our society of dependence. These are real world examples of small disasters waiting to become monumental tragedies. In each case, the women are clinging to behavior patterns and past behaviors and refusing to change, so far. I’ve talked to most of them enough to recognize typical folly.
I don’t dismiss them, but offer only what I can. That is, in light of what the Lord has placed in my hands and told me was important to my mission, I give them what He puts in my heart to give. It’s frankly a chore to prevent them latching onto me with demands for more than I can righteously supply. We aren’t even talking about sex. Each one in her own way is like a black hole, with her own mixture of bottomless need. It’s not easy to say “no,” particulary as each has developed some coping mechanism which includes generous doses of manipulation.
In no uncertain terms the Lord has warned me I cannot regard them as “neighbors” as Jesus taught the term. They are a threat in one way or another. I cannot put their needs in the same basket as mine. But I still offer what I can, at least as much as I would my enemies.
I’ll bet you know some people like that.
As this time of tribulation grows worse for us, they will come out the woodwork, and you’ll wonder where they’ve been hiding all this time. They’re hiding right now behind a system which does everything possible to make them dependent. Do we not refer to welfare assitance officially as “entitlements”? There are whole cities where such people are the dominant life form. But as the government jerks the supports out from under them — it’s coming all too soon — America will quickly descend into chaos. Think of the New Orleans Superdome in the Katrina aftermath, but multiplied across every part of the country, and not always confined that way. But instead of a natural disaster, more like the aftermath of a war we lose.
Some communities will fare better than others, but I have a hard time imagining it won’t hit someone you know. I don’t have any sage advice on how to turn folks away. You’ll have to discern the limits God demands you observe with your own resources. You’ll have to decide whom to treat as family, or as just another stranger in need.
Nor can I promise God won’t ask you to suffer. Being obedient could still mean His glory demands you sacrifice more than you expect. This nation has really sinned horribly, and we are stuck here right in the middle of an outpouring of wrath few have ever seen in human history. As I look back on what we can know of previous fallen empires, I simply cannot find any who carried out the full range of awful things done here, or in our names elsewhere. It doesn’t matter how much they hid from us, because we didn’t react righteously to the things we did know.
But if enough of us repent, and repent thoroughly enough, things might be just about tolerable for most of us. Trust God for the things you cannot fix.

Wasting Time

Perhaps you understand this instinctively on some level: Christ inherited the prerogatives of His Father. Granted, our language can’t carry the full meaning of it, but so far as we here can grasp and experience, Christ is the Heir of Creation.
So if He showed up today in His fully glorified form, all the brokenness of the Fall would disintegrate, and whatever was left would be what He had planned for us in the first place. That’s not much different, in effect, with what Paul and others teach us about the Second Coming. Inherent in His Presence, the fire of God’s wrath would destoy all sin, and only what He made can remain.
And if you happen to be helping colonize some planet in another star system, you’ll still experience pretty much what everyone on earth does. That’s because it’s not confined to earth alone, but all the universe. The entire cosmos is contained within the bubble of the Fall, confined under the prison guard we refer to as “time.” Because we are under time’s mastery, it’s not possible to conceive of any condition without time. Hebrew language wasn’t much better at stating it, either — God is not subject to our experience of time’s mastery.
We are told Christ dying on the Cross is a fair symbolism of what it feels like for God to tolerate this bubble of fallen falsehood, this envelope of sin and death stabbing into His Being as some ultimate insult. Those who claim to have His Spirit in them, we would expect them to have an increasing, growing discomfort with what He calls “sin.” Yes, our human nature is part of that sin nature, and so we are torn internally by the conflict, but the normative experience of those who are granted spiritual birth is an increasing alienation to this fallen realm.
To people who haven’t tasted that breath of Heaven, writing stuff like this is the muttering of a madman. By paradox, those who have surrendered to that Spirit of God, they don’t even have to have memorized the Bible much; they’ll recognize all this blather as a reflection of what the Scripture says.
All those years growing up while attending churches of one stripe or another, it was drilled into my head I really must memorize as much of the Bible as possible. Lord knows, I really tried. But with a recall disability (Adult ADD), this is a monumental and frustrating task. Yet, once I became aware of the Spirit Realm as separate from something so feeble as my intellect, I report faithfully, I know the Bible on a totally different level than mere memory of the words in some English translation. So while I could go back and look up all the chapter-verse addresses for things I write, I realize it isn’t necessary for those who walk in the spirit as I do. Their spirits will know and faithfully report whether my words reflect the divine revelation.
Not in some absolute sense, because that’s a myth of the fallen mind. It’s not as if I suggest you aren’t spiritual if you don’t recognize the Bible in my writing. The point is God is working through it for His own purposes, and if there is any truth to my supposition I am a prophet, I don’t need to aim at the intellect, but at the Spirit of God living in your spirit. So convincing you I’m telling the truth is not my job, and I couldn’t do it if it was. You have to taste eternity in my words yourself, or I’m just wasting time and electrons.
If time is our prison warden, I’m quite willing to see him wasted.

Mystic's Pragmatism: Enemy ID

I need to get something out of the way before we get to the point of this post. When I sensed God was demanding I limit myself to prophetic ministry and nothing else, particularly in writing, I honestly thought I wouldn’t have much to say. But since that day, stuff has been crowding into my consciousness, demanding I express it on pain of going honestly insane. It’s the old “fire in my bones” thing Jeremiah expressed.
Somewhere between my intellect and the imperatives of my spirit rests a powerful sense time is short. Surely you realize I can’t explain it to anyone’s satisfaction. On a purely intellectual basis I believe we are at least going to see a dramatic change in all our lives via banking and currency issues right around September-October this year. It’s just my opinion, and I sincerely hope I’m wrong. But that thought has threads reaching across the shadows into my non-conscious mind. Not so much the timing, per se, as the sense of urgency is what keeps nagging me in those quiet moments.
So it’s as if I’m trying to deliver all the truth I can cook up in a consumable format. I sincerely hope the recipes aren’t giving you indigestion, or that it’s not rotting before you can use it. Still, it’s a lot more than I anticipated, and each of you surely have on your plate a lot already. So if you aren’t actually reading any of this output, I really would not blame you on the human level. Unfortunately, I simply can’t shut up.
One of the things which seems to me such a huge waste of time is all the massive pile of articles in the alternative news market which tries way too hard to ID who is doing this or that. Unless you intend going out and assassinating a lot of plutocrats, it’s probably not very useful information. It’s typical of activist mythology, thinking you can change anything of significance by all that yelling, screaming, agitating, protesting, etc. Let me assure you, even if you were assassinating and bombing, it wouldn’t change anything. It would require a government-sized budget bigger than that of the US. And if that’s not enough to discourage you from folly then try this: God Himself will actively oppose anything like an armed revolt.
That’s not to say you can’t defend your mission and calling, and kill according to your convictions. I admit right now: If something like mandatory subcutaneous RFID were proposed, I would probably kill people to avoid it. That’s not the same thing as a general armed insurrection, despite how the government goons might read that. And there are other issues for which I’ve already posted here over the years you can justify use of violent force. I haven’t changed my understanding on those matters.
The point is pragmatism from a mystic’s point of view.
You could curl into a ball and simply intone “Satan is doing it all!” True, but not exactly purposeful. But that’s no sillier than the extremes of campaigning suggested by all the various activist voices you can read. If God tells you go and join OccupySomething, go. But don’t assume that means He’s going to do some grand miracle and change the oppressors’ minds about it. Because for each single issue you seize upon, there are thousand others going to bite your butt before that one’s done.
This thing is too big, too far along, and there are simply too many of them riding herd on too many attacks. It’s not possible to change the overall result by stopping any number of them individually. So naming the key figurehead on each really serious problem is TMI, and withdrawing into isolation is only for total wimps. The only thing you can usefully change is what you build inside your soul. For that purpose, it’s enough to make broad sweeping generalizations about what the plutocrats are doing on a wide scale, and that they have an intelligent and dastardly intent. I don’t have to name which individual is thinking which thoughts and plotting what specific evil will be done to us; I can’t even guess intelligently most of the time. What I can do is look at the big picture and see the consistent trends, and see how it hurts people and how nobody cries but the victims and some useless, impotent idiots on the sidelines.
Prepare? How? All I have is some estimate arising from my personal experiences. I can tell you in general terms physical fitness makes everything easier, but my plan probably won’t work for you. You want some guidelines? Think back on all the things you learned from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. We learned the US government wants to demand everyone strip naked, and chain themselves to the ground in the ready position so they can be raped at some random official’s convenience. It could have been worse, but the federal agencies weren’t that well coordinated. Next time their brutality will be more systematic.
And when things get really crazy and tense and people are about to revolt, that’s when some disaster always has to happen. If a natural disaster doesn’t show up on schedule, there’s always man made ones. Whatever you believe about 9/11, never forget how officials handled people in the aftermath. Never forget how utility workers were cut just before that nasty storm left places like Ohio without power — still! For all intents and purposes, certain non-government businesses are still going to act as bad, or worse, than government. They are all the same people.
Then I want you to remember this is what you should expect, only worse, when the next big event comes along. It doesn’t matter what or when. If your soul isn’t ready to face the most important challenges, the only ones about which you can actually do anything, then a whole warehouse of survival equipment and supplies won’t help you. Adapt, stay on mission, let all the world go to Hell and everyone you love die, because you can’t stop it. Find something to believe in, something worth looking a fool and maybe actually killing someone else.
Finally, understand the most important thing is your commitment to that mission, because in the most real and ultimate sense, that’s who you are. That’s the truth against which this whole filthy lying plane of existence cannot stand.

Admin: Update to "Hearing God"

The permanent article Hearing God (site is gone) has been updated with an addenda at the end. It occurred to me I could add a concrete example from common human experience regarding how we handle sudden stresses. Here is a copy of the addenda:

**********

A Practical Application

As we pursue peace with God, it’s rather like chasing after Him through a wilderness, because our civilization has done it’s best to hide the path. It’s been long neglected, and very much overgrown with false fears of spooky demons and other spirits. For anyone seeking peace with God, you’ll spend at least part of your time blazing what seems a new trail, when in reality it is merely an ancient and forgotten road of truth.

There are markers indicating we are still moving, still on the right path. They are hard to read, written in a foreign language, marks of the Spirit Realm based on an entirely alien logic. There is at least one fairly obvious example I can translate for you, providing a key to understanding other markers on the way: How do you respond during an adrenalin rush?

Most of us understand the adrenal glands release a hormone, the effects of which we summarize as “fight or flight.” Actually, the vast majority of us are vacillating rapidly between the two under stress. Precious few of us will always do one or the other to any extreme.

We understand how it works, and with just a little training you can spot the effects of adrenalin in others. At the first instant some portion of the human awareness receives a shock, the rush of adrenalin disrupts the natural heart rhythm. We say the heart “stops” but that’s not exactly true. It’s just changing to an accelerated rhythm. So, for just an instant, the complexion is a bit ashen, colorless. Then a moment later it becomes flushed. The heart rate and blood pressure both go up suddenly. At the same time, the eyes dilate. The gaze of those eyes will be extreme. They will either stare intently, or exhibit rapid and nervous twitching, redirecting the gaze all over the place. Most people vacillate between the two extremes to some degree. The hands will begin to twitch, and exhibit confused and exaggerated movements. The speech pattern changes noticeably, a different rhythm and sings of uncertainty, a different syntax, affecting a different accent, etc. We sum it up by calling it “panic mode.”

As we draw closer to God and become better able to hear His voice through our wills, it is not so much these symptoms are reduced. Sure, it’s great if we can avoid panicking in the first place. However, the essence of a proper spiritual response is when we manage to do the right thing in spite of those symptoms. When adrenalin does not overpower the convictions of God speaking through the will, and the mind finds itself able to hear the voice of conviction, it’s because the link to the spirit is stronger than the link to the flesh. God does not speak through the flesh, in that sense.

Here’s a big useful hint: The signposts on the path of God are read most often in retrospect. The path of truth is marked more on the back side of things than on the front. You realize you have progressed spiritually in the aftermath of some stressful event. This requires prayerful contemplation.

The Peace of God

It seemed so obvious, it was hardly mentioned until much later when outsiders were pressing in, trying to claim a piece of the action. Those outsiders had virtually none of the foundation, none of the essential background to get vary far with it. The biggest single problem was getting them to shift their basic understanding of reality, because what they had was all wrong, even if in varying flavors and degrees.
Hebrew Christians in Jerusalem understood instinctively. Despite three centuries of false intellectual assumptions from all their teachers, the old ways were not entirely forgotten. Those ways had simply been relegated to a minor partisan margin on the political landscape, the old and grouchy reactionaries. It was there in their consciousness, and it wasn’t a monumental task to bring them back because they were already disenfranchised from most of the benefits of the false ways of Hellenism. When Jesus came along and His miracles screamed so loudly how everyone else was clearly wrong, it wasn’t hard to listen, even if without full comprehension.
Those He chose as His closest associates, oddly, seemed to have the most trouble with it. That is, until that defining event which set the history of Christianity on fire — spiritual birth. The presence of that Other Intelligence in their souls made the path back to truth suddenly and painfully obvious, but also possible.
And while that same transformation was wide open to those who lacked that cultural and intellectual background, the implications and necessity of taking that path to ancient mystical understanding was hardly automatically understood. So while the Gospels and Acts hardly mention any manifestation of this really massive problem, we see hints of it in Paul’s letters as he confronts a serious barrier to these new Gentile believers making the transition to the mystical life Jesus taught.
That ancient mysticism understands instinctively there can be no such thing as perfection in the rational sense. That’s because the mystical instinct is to realize no human could possibly identify perfection in the first place. It’s a myth; it never existed outside the mistaken imagination of some terribly misguided humans. Even in pursuit of God’s favor and His Laws, there can be no such thing as precision and perfection. When you see the Hebrew concepts translated into English with the word “perfection” you have to understand that is merely a symbolic approximation of the original idea.
Nothing in this life can possibly be perfect because nothing on this plane of existence can be perfected. The root nature of our fallen existence is we cannot know perfection and cannot hope to find it on our level of understanding. It’s the wrong question. Rather, under God’s revelation we should understand our best hope is “good enough” — an estimated balancing point between competing demands which allows us to find God’s blessings. He does not hold us accountable in precision, but in desire.
It’s not as if you can’t progress when you try to account for feelings of regret, of missed opportunities. But you are damned wrong if you push your analysis of such things beyond the point of real and practical application as a mystic would define it. Critical to human progress in appropriating divine wisdom is the utter necessity of looking at things with painful results, examining them in retrospect. If you don’t sense the Holy Spirit prodding you to this sort of contemplative brooding over your failures and sins, you understand nothing; you are defying the way God works. Yes, ask the Lord to show you your sins as sin, and ask Him to show you what could have been done better.
But critical to this process is the realization you won’t ever get an answer carved in stone. Your own best understanding is supposed to drift over time as your base of experience and grasp of holiness expands in size and depth. It must of necessity remain flexible, or you block out God’s Spirit and your own progress.
This whole business of idolatry is itself a manifestation of the petulant human demand for simplicity and “perfection” which cannot ever be. Investing so much of your soul in mere symbols is the path to destruction. This is why God is insulted by the likes of legalism, the use of phrases such as “plenary verbal inspiration” and “propositional truth.” Those arise from a demand God scratch on stones, instead of working in our hearts in a vivid give and take love relationship. It becomes an excuse to worship the Bronze Serpent or any other symbol of faith.
The peace we seek as humans is simply not available. God’s peace with us is the assurance we are as close to Him personally as we are likely to get at any given time, in any given context. It’s not about objective things, but something indefinable between two persons.

We Tell Stories

Your historical narrative cannot be objective. The mere claim of objectivity itself is a bias. I make no bones about it: When I read and analyze records of past events, I view it through the lens of ancient Hebrew Mysticism. I call it the prophetic viewpoint. That is, I apply the moral judgments I understand from Jesus Christ, as understood by His native Hebrew intellectual background. Oddly, this causes me to sound somewhat objective in regards to American History, because not one of the partisan narrative agendas can tolerate my analysis.
Most of us are aware the two dominant influences in what can be called “American culture” are Puritans and disenfranchised nobility. The Puritans were a fairly materialistic Protestant group deeply affected by middle class assumptions. In essence, what made them unique was the belief God intended them to prosper, and if that didn’t happen, then the social and political context must be evil. This didn’t go over well with the British government, so they fled to the Netherlands. The Dutch militantly demanded Puritan children attend the very secularized Dutch schools, and the Puritans were left fleeing to a new continent across the Atlantic. They had insufficient means to fund this trip fully, so they got a loan from some speculators who demanded they obey certain rules and send back some of the food they grew and certain materials from natural resources.
At the same time there was a large class of nobles who were at loose ends because of peculiar Anglo-Saxon and Norman traditions about inheritance of property. These nobles were all second sons or later, and had only their education and connections. They often had some wealth, and dabbled in speculations such as the Puritan colony. Some of them put their own hands to colonizing, typically farther south along the same Atlantic Seaboard on the same continent. There was a lot of colonizing and speculation, and the patrician lifestyle flavored things. This, of course, set the stage for our War Between the States, but in the end, these two cultures merged, picking up some flavoring from other colonizing groups from other nations, etc.
What we now consider our national founding was a series of events in which Americans revolted against the British government and managed to finagle legally recognized independence. This effort was led by a combination of those Southern patricians and the New England middle class merchants of Puritan stock. If you examine the written records of the era, one thing becomes obvious. Among this mixed group of Founding Fathers were a lot of very busy activists and a much smaller group influencing and steering the whole thing. This latter group is almost invisible if you read it as it is taught in most American schools and colleges. So while the Declaration of Independence is rather doctrinally pure Enlightenment thinking, and the Articles of Confederation only slightly less so, the final US Constitution was a complete departure. The sneaky plutocrats never ceased fudging, tweaking and jostling the course of things until they produced a very slyly phrased document with holes big enough to sail ships through it. Try reading it with an eye to what was left out.
While there were setbacks along the path, these plutocrats kept it up the whole way through. We’ve never been without them. It does no good to pick at the details of who did what and why. On the one hand, we know there has always been a ruling class and they have always acted the same in certain key patterns which kept this same bunch in power. On the other hand, we see the results of two and a half centuries of steering. It ends in the same sort of tyranny we claimed we were fighting, as if that were our national identity.
Lots of little subroutines along the way are so very instructive. In my previous post I linked to a book by Catherine Austin Fitts. It’s well worth the read, especially since it’s free and online. A significant element in the story was the birth of the Drug War-Private Prison Industry. She shows how her community investment management software was hijacked and used to design the current insufferable mess. Try to understand: Someone in our government had planned long ago to make the US a world leader in incarceration, both in raw numbers and per capita. Further, I could probably dig up the documents which explain a critical element was creating a vast criminal class where almost none had been. Gang wars? The plutocrats are so proud of that accomplishment. It was purely intentional.
The same could be said of creating a vast group of mentally unstable trained killers: veterans with PTSD. Did if ever occur to you how utterly unusual it is they are fighting tooth and nail to prevent giving these guys any treatment? How about an earlier federal policy which suddenly turned loose people who had been “mentally ill” and institutionalized for much of their lives? A safe and stable society is the last thing they want to see. Yet the same plutocrats sold that vision to the middle class merchants way back during the American Revolution.
Do you have any idea where American civilian law enforcement came from? It’s not hard to document. These prissy materialistic merchants utterly despised the peasants and blue collar workers who often came from some other ethnic background and loved to celebrate life in a less puritanical fashion. Go back and look at what the first bunch of civilian policemen enforced: mere cultural oppression. It had nothing to do with stopping basic anti-social crime, but labeling as crimes whatever it was the lower class normally did. Would it surprise you to notice as you follow the history of enforcement, even when it became a real profession with genuine standards of conduct, etc., most of their work was oppressing those who refused to act middle class and somewhat Puritan?
Now go back and look at who actually makes the current “crime wave” possible. It’s the same plutocrats, playing all the other groups against each other. So while the modern version of social Puritans compel Congress to create the DEA and other alphabet agencies for war-on-whatever, the plutocrats working through the likes of the CIA are smuggling the dope past the Border Patrol and selling it to the criminal gangs. Or go and look at all those well endowed foundations which fund various causes, and you’ll see the same bunch of people writing the checks to every different political agenda you can imagine. They keep us distracted and divided by waving a hundred false and inconsequential threats.
From Day One, America has been one long scam played on everyone. I’m seeing what looks like one more wave of terrorizing us so we panic and scream for something stronger. That something would be a tyranny worse than all the dystopian fiction you’ve read or watched in video. Maybe our Founding Fathers didn’t have quite that fully developed vision, but the net result of all their manipulation and maneuvering is taking us there because it serves their wicked self interest.
It’s too late to turn things back, and there was no point back there we should want to go, because it was all one big lie. It’s coming and there’s no one on earth, not even all of us together, can stop it. From my biased prophetic point of view, I warn you not to be suckered into fighting directly on their terms. The real battle is inside you, and the only victory worth anything is there, too.

Leaving the Wrong Gate Open

Scripture uses the image of a thick thorny hedge to keep predators out of our lives.
It’s not as if someone can’t get through such a hedge, can’t cut themselves an opening. But doing so will be slow work, and draws attention. Someone who is expecting trouble will catch the predator and react. No one with an ounce of wisdom expects to sail through life with total security and ease. There will always be those who try to steal your fruit. That’s the way life is here on earth, but God offered a way to even things up a bit. It’s not magic; it’s morality. A pattern of moral care raises a barrier to all those threats so we can at least get a chance to respond.
It requires periodic maintenance. Even if you are able to build a stone wall, you still need to check every now and then to see stones aren’t working loose. There will always be parts of your life which remain morally dynamic, never entirely settled. And some parts of your life are too busy for a hedge. You have to put in a gate, allow others to come and go. You’ll never be able to harvest it all by yourself, and somebody has to buy and consume that productivity or there’s no point in having a life to protect.
In keeping with the previous post, we sensibly choose dependencies which we can negotiate. In reality there will always be a constant haggle over details, but there’s no question of shared dependency itself. The problem is leaving the gate untended. Too many people open dependencies without the slightest thought simply because that’s the local custom. We idolize a culture where we can leave the keys in the car, the doors unlocked, etc. We assume a shared community of trust where hedges simply aren’t necessary, because all that security takes up time away from more entertaining pursuits.
That society never existed. It’s a myth. Where you encountered anything which seemed to feel like that, it was artificial, and someone somewhere did indeed mean for you to be deceived. It was thoughtfully designed to feed you false expectations which don’t at all match with reality. You might be somewhat guarded against little problems, but you’ve left a wide gate open for oppression in your life because you’ve allowed them to convince you they would never do the exact thing they plan to do.
Let’s go camping. For a few days we’ll go out in the wilderness and almost everything we need we have to carry with us. Some provision for life is out there, but in a raw form. The provisions you don’t carry will require tools to extract from nature. We leave behind many modern conveniences, and try to experience things at a lower level of existence. Suddenly, just eating and drinking consume a greater portion of our daily routine. Ordinary sanitation is a huge burden, and we quickly decide some of those little habits just don’t matter. The more primitive we make it, the more we become reacquainted with brute survival. It’s good for the soul.
Have you ever found yourself having to work around someone who is helpless? You don’t take them camping if you can help it. Then again, it might teach them to stop being so wretchedly open and vulnerable, demanding so much from the world. These are the people who swallowed the myth, and we want to disabuse them of it, but it seems the lie is so deeply ingrained, nothing can awaken them.
This is what we have come to in Western Civilization. In some ways, there is not a single Western government which has not worked night and day to make people that way. You don’t have to go to war against society, but you darn sure better not stay inside that bubble of false happiness. The mental exercise of going camping serves as a reminder of the ways we have swallowed that mythology, and we have left the gate open for demons to come and go at will, regardless of what form they assume.
If you were one of the victims of that horrible storm which struck places like Ohio, leaving them all without electricity still yet these ten days later, would you be ready to cope with life? Would this make you suddenly unfruitful? Stop and consider just what fruit are you growing in the first place. What really matters? Then consider all the ways people and systems around you keep demanding you open the gates. Sometimes you have to say no, and accept the consequences for being different. You can’t stop everything, but without some conscious choices, you’re just renting your life at someone else’s whim. You may not believe in my God, but I can’t imagine anyone being fruitful if they allow the State to be their god, either consciously or in effect.
Scripture says the Devil uses people. While the people are not our enemies, they are the weapons and tools used against us. Military training teaches you to sleep with your weapon and gas mask. You need whatever counts for armor against the most likely form of attack and at least one means to hit back at evil. In this fallen world, your moral habits are your armor, and your assertion of moral choices is your weapon. Your greatest vulnerability is ill-considered dependence.
Is Facebook the place where you let your hair down? It’s hard to imagine having a bigger gate more wide open to abuse than Facebook. The greatest threat today is data mining. I was permitted to see some early forms of government data gathering when I helped set up the computer routines at that first Military Police station I was assigned. That was quickly replaced with a mandated software system we couldn’t adjust. Whenever some genius has found a way to improve data aggregation and mining, the government simply steals what it cannot buy. If the designer complains, the government treats them as a dangerous criminal. Ever hear of Inslaw and Promis? Look it up. Or Catherine Austin Fitts and her efforts to let communities know what government wanted to keep from them. Bad enough people were required during hiring interviews to allow the HR representative to see their private Facebook stuff, but the government has bought software which allows cyber-snoops to maintain a large number of fake Facebook identities. The Facebook “community” is shot through with spies and represents a near complete loss of any privacy hedge.
The government’s new favorite gate is data mining. Your thoughtless participation leaves you standing naked before the lictor. It’s too late now to go back and hide that stuff, but it’s not too late to begin reducing other ways in which you leave the gates of your soul open for exploitation. At the very least, you can stop updating everything which says too much about you. Don’t be paranoid, but thoughtful. Not in fear of what you don’t know, but using what you know already. The point is not how much they know about you, but how you can’t make it through the day without spilling your guts to someone.
You need the habit of mind to choose consciously and carefully who gets inside the hedge, because God isn’t willing to help you fight the demons if won’t participate.

Theory of Oppression

In terms of what the victim experiences, the only difference between a slave and a prisoner is the label.
Oppression is seldom pointless. The problem is we too easily get caught up in the discussion of who is doing what, instead of paying attention to the effects as a whole. It won’t matter what labels we apply to those who run the system, nor their names. Nor is it really necessary to examine all the various mechanisms of oppression and their plans. All we need to know is they plan to grab more power and wealth in such a way as to make executing their dreams less inconvenient, which typically means reducing resistance from those they intend to oppress.
It’s not a question of how much They want; They want it all, however much that is. And control results in slavery of one form or another. The ultimate issue for you and I is dependence. The one thing They must have at all costs is our dependence. Without that, none of it will work.
If all you really want in the coming days of trouble is to survive, just learn to accept any indignity and embrace your dependence. Let them see your distress and fear. You’ll do as well as anyone else, and better than most. For anyone who feels there is something about living which is worth more than life itself, you’ll need to understand how oppression works at the most fundamental level. It’s not about resistance, per se, so much as maintaining that certain little something they can’t take from you, that something which has to be surrendered.
You could play Superman, if you possess whatever talents and resources are necessary to actually defeat the minions of darkness, but people like that never listen to advice in the first place. I’m not any part of a Superman, and I’ll bet you aren’t either.
We will all surrender something, tolerate some measure of indignity, because it simply doesn’t matter against the thing for which we would die. As humans, we are a social species, and survival on any terms is greatly increased by compromise in favor of the group. The coming oppression has been built so far on convincing you the compromise has already been made, that it would be sheer madness to question the unstated assumptions of the oppressor’s hand inside the glove of false community. “Didn’t you elect us? Let us do our jobs!” Simply observing what They do, regardless of all the propaganda from all directions, we see they intend to claim unlimited obedience.
The path to such obedience is fear and dependence.
I’ll give you a sample. During my training as a Military Policeman, the trainers gave us the official outline of our mission using three “S” words: secure, segregate, and speed. Roughly that translates as subdue them, make them dependent, and move them. You have to understand the utter lack of intellect found in military occupational specialty training schools. Virtually all of the instructors ended up there because, while they aren’t trouble, they can’t be advanced to anything more important, either. A precious few get to choose the class they teach, but most get what’s left, and we as trainees are under the guidance of leadership leftovers, too. Much the same can be said of those who write the instructional materials. So rare is writing talent in those manuals, it’s remarkable when you find one you actually want to read. The whole purpose of military training is to lower the standards until an acceptable majority makes it through and graduates, which typically means dumbing it down and dragging the talented down with it. The young and sharp students always get in trouble until they learn to shut up. I went through the MP School somewhat older, and already with some military experience. I had something of what it took to analyze things on a different level. That three-S business was meant to disguise from the MPs the sort of nastiness our work involved.
I hated it right away, but there was no escape short of what actually happened totally unplanned. I was physically disabled just enough to justify separation. But not before I had plenty of opportunity to see quite how nasty they demanded I be. In handling prisoners, we were trained to keep them disoriented, focused entirely on what we demanded of them moment by moment. We never told them our plans, and did almost nothing by routine from their perspective. We were taught subtle, low level cruelty and arrogance. We never allowed them to get close enough to talk with each other any more than was absolutely necessary as dictated by circumstances. We rewarded any snitching, even when it was apparently dishonest. The most simple courtesies of human existence were called into doubt. We wanted them dependent on us.
There was a lot less work involved if our only contact with prisoners was transportation. I preferred that part of the job a great deal. There were ways to make myself tolerate doing the searches and pat-downs, and I seldom had to deny them standard human needs. I just had to make sure not to chat with them, as it was all strictly business. I did recall having to remind my partners to shut up all too often, but that was simply part of being the senior patrolman. It was as confining on me as it was for the prisoners. I never enjoyed much of it the way my soulless associates did.
A sick truth: We were taught from the start to distrust each other, to be ready to snitch about the slightest variation from instructions. We were always ourselves dependent and fearful of our superiors, of losing what little advantage of position we had.
Even now, right this moment, your freedom is already limited. There is the appearance of some routine liberty, but the moment you overstep the boundaries, you’ll experience the other side of what I just described. You’ll be handled by thugs who have little depth of understanding, just following orders, and very little patience with anything. Even though police work is increasingly less risky, they will insist to themselves everything is a threat, and it must be met with force. For some of the slightest variations from their subjective expectations in any context, you’ll be treated worse than you can imagine, until you see it up close. Now remind yourself the things which they’ll let pass will shrink daily, and the things which can get you in trouble will increase at the same rate.
Joking and clowning your way through it will often infuriate them, and you should expect handling to get rougher. They are taught to expect resistance, anger, incredulity, and even joking. They are taught to induce terror to get past resistance. The one thing that will make them most uncomfortable is a complete, almost robotic aplomb. Yes, most of them can spot the sort of involuntary cues our bodies give off when we are afraid, but when those are completely missing, it is they who become disoriented. Despite appearances, it is you who are in control.
You don’t have to be a victim.
For Christians, the lesson should be obvious. When we fear only God, and care for nothing in the world so much we tremble at its loss, we make Him look glorious. Nothing else matters.

The Economics of Fear

A population with little fear is hard to squeeze.
I’m pretty sure most of my readers already understand current Western political power rests entirely upon false fears. The only way to subvert democratic government is to make the people afraid. The only way to keep a sufficient plurality afraid is to wave lots of different fears. It’s not a calculus, but an art. You have to sense the mood of the people and how much fear it takes to herd them along some path.
So here in the US, it’s been things like fears of social disorder, fears of communism, fears of fascism, fears of rampant drug abuse, fears of insufficient drug use, and fears of Islamic terrorism. Currently the ruling powers can be found associated with the Drug War Industry, Defense Industries, Terror Industry, Big Pharma, the growing Cyber Defense Industry, Insurances Industry, etc. Each can be broken down, if you like. The Drug War includes private prisons, private treatment, the vast contracting to support government law enforcement, private investigations, confiscations and resale, etc.
Fear-based markets have an organic end point. At some threshold, the fear drops off and folks no longer buy it. The pretense of democracy requires a constant refreshing of fear with new markets opening through mass propaganda. I’ve written elsewhere my firm conviction: If you were to take into account all the very real probabilities of harm from all other threats in this world, using the insurance industry’s own calculus of real and measurable harm, an American should understand all those things combined do not threaten him so much as his own government. In other words, your biggest problem is the US government itself. In very real terms, if we could get rid of the psychopathic plutocrats and their lackeys, the rest of the world would be pretty easy to face.
Writing stuff like that could, eventually, get me in trouble. However, I’m not in the fear market, neither as buyer, nor seller, nor middleman.
So far as I know, I’ve already been officially labeled a likely terrorist. That is, a federal government agency (US Marshals) have officially told third parties that yours truly is a dangerous cult leader, an expert at hiding refugees from justice, and an armed militia-type guy. I won’t bother to answer that stuff in detail, but it’s all ludicrous. Nor does it matter one bit I was on their side at the time they concluded all this about me. Facts never have prevented prosecution in the past, just delayed it until the facts didn’t matter. The only reason they haven’t grabbed me is the current system requires some sort of evidence, or an action on my part to get their attention. They are pretty busy, after all; current scandals are numerous.
But I’m willing to bet if I tried to buy a flight ticket, I’d be stopped by TSA. This raises the small specter of travel prevention as the TSA cancer spreads to all other forms of public carrier travel. Then there’s the promise they would start doing random roadblocks on our nation’s highways. All of these are ways in which “persons of interest” place themselves in the hands of the oppressors. They don’t have to come after you, just wait until you come to them.
The only limiting factor is whether they are prepared to stuff another body into the system queue for abuse. The private prison system held much hope for them until the economy began to collapse. When the depression first became detectable at the lower levels, the plutocrats let out some contracts to KBR to start building internment camps. That was some years ago. While the controlled opposition has made lots of noise about this, it’s pretty hard to find real facts. This is part of what wiser minds use to differentiate between real sources and hucksters among the alternative Internet news sites. Still, you can find a few reports of finished facilities if you are prepared to work at it. You may be familiar with how search engines are being tweaked these days so users are inundated with junk, so don’t expect to get anything except a thousand repeats of the same falsely labeled photos and regurgitated rumors.
Let me give you some facts. During my most recent military service, I was a Military Policeman. At that time, the task of running an internment camp was ours. My training included that. Setting one up from scratch is pretty easy, because all the standard materials are already stored in huge quantities. These facilities would not be long term as-is, but would do for a few weeks. Part of the game is having several different ones with different configurations in remote areas, but not too far from each other. Each would be serviced by secured means of transportation. Railroads are a favorite. In any given population, those with the propensity to cause trouble to the guards can be identified for different processing, with different tracks based on how big of a problem they present. Most of it involves hustling them between camps to keep them from organizing resistance. Everyone else can be handled with less urgency, eventually sent to some other fate based on whatever it is provoked all this in the first place.
I know how to work the system. I haven’t bought the fear.
More to the point, I don’t care. My life is fully dedicated to something far bigger than myself, far beyond all this. If the path I feel called to walk takes me into the waiting arms of confinement on any terms, that’s where I’ll go. I’m a far bigger threat to the system than the system can comprehend, because I’ll be teaching folks to belong to something the system can’t touch. I suppose there is some sort of truth to the label “dangerous cult leader” in that sense.
Beware reader! I’ll refuse to lead, refuse to take anything from you, and teach you this world does not matter at all.
