New Testament Doctrine — Matthew 5:27-32

Keep in mind that, in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is contrasting the difference between the corrupt legalism of the Pharisees and Scribes with the divine revelation of the Covenant through Moses. In this series, He is discussing the most ancient laws and customs standing since the Covenant of Noah. The purpose is to step closer to the heart of the Father and point out how Moses was actually rather easy. Not only do the Scribes and Pharisees make things harder than they have to be, but they are missing the whole point of having a law code in the first place.

From ancient times, adultery was considered a threat to the tribe and peace with God. Jesus says that’s too easy, but it needs context. First, Hebrew culture forbade women showing anything more than her face, and perhaps some portion of her arms, in public. Clothing was not supposed to be form-fitting, either. Furthermore, Hebrew men were raised to have an instinctive reaction to look away in embarrassment when a woman showed too much flesh. Even Pharisees typically covered their eyes when they saw too much. Unlike in our pornographic Western culture, few Hebrew men would have gazed upon an overexposed woman. That kind of exhibitionism was repulsive.

Secondly, this is actually the proper instinct for a heart-led man, even one raised in the West. It is a godly instinct to look away from that kind of temptation, and a mark of spiritual maturity. Jesus isn’t talking about the temptation or the obscene thoughts, but the moral authority to control oneself. Thus, He asserts that anyone who obeys the Father from the heart will have a hard time staring at a woman that way. If you can’t look away, you’ve already disappointed God in your heart.

In this context, He goes on to make some very extreme suggestions for handling sinful fleshly impulses. If you cannot restrain your flesh, cripple it. This is no different from the admonition of Proverbs (23:1-3) to put a knife to your throat to restrain a strong appetite in the presence of someone who would be expected to tempt you. It’s basic Hebrew hyperbole. At all costs, avoid situations that provide temptation. Spend more time in prayer and training the weak flesh, even to the point of being anti-social, if that’s what it takes to keep you morally on track. The whole image of cutting off flesh was a symbol for social exclusion. There’s no shame in being a hermit if that’s what it takes.

A related moral problem in Judean society was the Talmudic expansion of divorce law. The Pharisees taught that a man could divorce his wife for any reason, or no reason at all. This is not really what Moses had to say about it. The Law of Moses presumes divorce, and God placed restrictions on what happens afterward. The Pharisees made a big deal out of the phrase that describes what constitutes a lawful divorce. Indeed, we have evidence that they carried on a sort of horse-trading of additional wives.

Most Pharisees and Scribes were upper middle class or higher. They were materialistic and elitist. Their first marriage was sometimes arranged for political reasons, even if only localized politics. They could afford additional wives and used them merely as sex toys, passing them along when they got bored, or found another pretty young thing they wanted. Even the monogamous (likely the majority) would practice serial monogamy this way. It created a class of concubines, as it were, traded among their peers. As with everything else, the traditions of the elders (oral Talmud) was rigged in their favor, and this became the law of the land by virtue of judicial precedent. It encouraged a moral looseness about marriage in Hebrew society, and defiled shalom.

Jesus raised the standard back higher than Moses. In the Kingdom of Heaven, a man had best choose wisely whom he marries, because the only excuse he has for divorce is that she wasn’t an actual virgin after all, and lied about it. And despite that a certificate of divorce is supposed to clear her for remarriage, she is actually committing adultery in remarriage.

This has nothing to do with the male pride demanding a virgin. This whole thing rests on the issue of sexual immorality defiling the land and the people living on it. Women and men are both wired so that their first sexual experience is not simply a matter of losing virginity; it creates a bond that registers in the fabric of Creation itself. Medical fact: the initial sex act burns a neural pathway that can never be removed. It alters hormonal chemistry. Granted, it is more obvious with women than men, but it’s present in both. This is part of what it means when we say a marriage covenant is sworn before God; it touches His divine moral character. It changes us for the rest of our lives.

In another place, Jesus teaches that it’s one man, one woman, for life. The whole idea is that you treat marriage and sex with due respect. Any sexual experience with someone else after that first is defiling in God’s eyes, except in very limited circumstances, and it simply won’t be the same for you. It demands a great deal of discipline to make it work in subsequent marriages, and you’ll always be missing some sacred and powerful element that God alone can give you in your marriage.

It was bad enough in Jesus’ day to warrant sharp condemnation. What do you suppose He thinks of our situation today in America?

Tiresome Whining

I always thought it was relatively simple. You were created for one purpose: to glorify the Creator. This is the fulfillment of your purpose; it is in your best interest. It’s the one and only path you can take to fulfillment and peace.

That means that you have to alienate yourself from everything within your soul that longs for something else. The promise of the Scripture is that you can know, and be granted sufficient power, to want what God designed you for. It’s not that you get what you want, but that you want what you get.

So every attempt to slap a Jesus sticker on name-it-and-claim-it is a lie from Hell. Joel Osteen is simply a more recent huckster of that ancient deception, and there are others publishing the same lies afresh today. All of those are nothing more than elevating your fleshly nature to deity. It’s idolatry.

We can look forward to God crushing a lot of that when the economy collapses a bit more. Yes, it’s a long, slow process, but there’s no stopping it. And as we enter the survival mode, the lies of that name-it-and-claim-it will become painfully obvious. (Did you know that was the name of a book by Frederick K.C. Price?)

No, not every physical malady will be healed. Not every sorrow that haunts you will go away. There is plenty of suffering that is part of His glory. The issue is in how you handle it. Don’t get lost on that. The sheep of His pasture will suffer. Often they will suffer more and greater sorrows than the cattle who aren’t in His pasture. He gets to decide what glorifies Him.

This is part of the same idea that He gets to decide who shall be in His family and who ends up in Hell. He’s the Judge; we are not. By no means does He need to explain it to us, nor satisfy our internal sense of justice. He is justice. We are accountable for building a concept of justice based on what we can learn about His moral character. Creation itself is built on that character. No human conception has any meaning.

The whining and posturing gets tiresome.

Isaiah Commentary Revision for Printing

AT-Isaiah is now ready for your printing pleasure. I discovered that Google Docs can arbitrarily decide to change all the paragraph styles and really mess things up. I also discovered the MS Word Online makes no allowance for modifying any styles once the document is uploaded. Worse, when you apply any style, it wipes things like italics and bold attributes. In other words, this one was a lot more work for reasons that remain a mystery to me.

This finishes the third anthology we will be printing in the coming months. Jay almost has the Wisdom Literature collect ready, the OT History collection is next, and now I have the Prophets all ready.

Kills White Blood Cells

A nurse says that, in her practice, lab tests show that those who receive the COVID vaccines lose their capacity to make white blood cells. When they are all gone, the medical name for that condition is: AIDS.

This, by the way, is an example of an excellent information video. In just a very few minutes, someone points out their source and evidence, outlines the main points with precision, and then the video stops. Sadly, it includes significant background noise, so you’ll have to listen closely.

======

In other news, I’m getting a lot hits on the Covenant Manhood series I posted back in 2018: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and Conclusion. I suppose this calls for a recap and republication as a single booklet. Pray with me that I can have the time in the next week or so.

Don’t Get Lost

Do not debate; it’s merely a delaying tactic.

Always be willing to explain, but never agree to stop and discuss the merits of your position. We share information among ourselves to ensure our obedience to God is properly understood. The human mind was given by God to organize and implement faith, but the mind was never designed to make moral decisions about right and wrong. Faith alone is the fount of truth in the human soul.

The issue is not the vaccine, but the choice you must make before God. No earthly government has any business demanding you do anything with your body. You are the property of a higher authority. You are accountable to God for such decisions. Further, how you choose to resist is between you and your Lord. But that we must resist is a rather obvious matter of faith in God.

The Spirit is strong, but the flesh is weak. My mission as elder/pastor is to help you stay focused on what really matters. The issue is a rather clear threat from people using government power to erect another Tower of Babel. The intent is to enslave the human race, to force us to cater to the idolatrous whims of a small elite group. They have already made clear their intent to slaughter 90% of the human race with no hint of justice.

The medical protocols and treatment shed innocent blood, and it defiles the land. God’s wrath is coming and surely justified. There is no way God can have His justice without making one hell of a mess. Our only hope of mitigation for ourselves from His wrath is the Blood on the doorposts of our lives. But this works only so well as we cling to each other, and stand near each other. This is true on both levels. We are limited in what we can do in the physical realm, since we are so scattered geographically. However, the Lord will honor our efforts to cling to each other in the virtual realm.

The blood on the doorposts was a ritual; it was obedience to a command of God. It was a matter of the Covenant. It was prior to the Covenant of Moses, but was given under the Covenant of Abraham to the Children of Abraham, as it was counted in those days. That silly ritual served the purpose and protected them from a miraculous destruction.

The Covenant of Christ is somewhat less about rituals like that. The only blood that matters now is the Blood of the Cross. Still, the principle of obedience has not gone anywhere. What marks us out today is our heart-led commitment to serve the Lord. As promised, the Lord has written His Law on our hearts; we obey our convictions. Paul said we still examine the written record (be diligent, rightly discerning) of Israel’s faith to understand with our minds the shape of those convictions.

What holds us together is our common commitment to a shared expression of that ineffable faith. According to the judgment against the Tower of Babel, we understand that the Body of Christ will be scattered over the face of the earth, with a fractured and decentralized structure, as if each were speaking an entirely different language. What holds us together is no measure of fleshly unity, but of unity in our commitment to the Lord.

The true testimony of our faith is how we manage to overcome the fleshly weakness and commune together in His love. It’s not the lack of conflict, because conflict is hard-wired into our mortal existence. Rather, it’s how we manage that conflict and still stand so close to each other in small communities. We don’t do it by debate, but by the feudal structure ordained by God in His Law. We compromise with each other for the sake of fellowship, without surrendering our varied convictions. We form communities on the grounds of how similar our convictions are in practice.

Those outside of our faith communities aren’t supposed to understand. We do not yield to human reason, but to faith alone. Convictions drive us together or apart, depending on what God intends for that context. But it’s by our commitment to this unreasonable state of affairs that marks us out as His people, the ones He will spare when His wrath falls. Do the hard work of fellowship so the Lord will know whether to spare (pass-over) us. It’s never a matter of reason, but of faith alone.

Don’t get sucked into playing along with the enemy’s schemes.

Put This Target on Yourself

Live by your convictions; accept the consequences.

I’ve said for several years now that the civil war would be an information war. The focus of what happens will be a matter of propaganda and censorship. The only way we can defend ourselves is to speak the facts and the truth. That’s two different things. Facts are an accurate report of what’s actually happening, and truth is the revelation of God’s moral character.

By engaging in attempts to report the facts and truth, even on a rather private blog like this, I have taken up the cause of the resistance. I’ve chosen sides in this civil war. Even if I deny any interest in political agitation or direct action, I am putting myself on the side fighting the official government.

I woke up in the wee hours of the morning yesterday. My instinct is to pray silently whenever I’m not distracted by anything else. I’m one of those people with a constant inner dialog running inside my head. So, I was praying and strongly sensed the Lord’s Presence, and then He told me that I had crossed that invisible line. It wasn’t scolding, but simply warning me to acknowledge that it will lead to consequences of some sort. I knew there was no turning back. At 3AM I got up and came into my computer office. I posted what I had written the night before, pushing a little farther along the same path I was already walking.

If my mortal life is expendable for the glory of the Lord, then anything I own is forfeited to His purpose, as well. It’s not as if I expect to die or go to jail; that’s quite unlikely. I rather doubt anyone will confiscate my computer equipment. But I honestly expect to be censored because that’s what this is all about. I’m not sure what specifically to expect, only that, sooner or later, someone will attempt to squelch my writing online. I’m trying to make plans for the various forms of censorship I’ve heard about already in recent years.

I knew censorship was likely a long time ago, so that part isn’t news. There are any number of things I might write about that would do it. But now it’s been narrowed down. Writing about this program of oppression and mass slaughter is specifically what will bring me to the attention of TPTB. Right now, it’s writing about the vaccines and treatment protocols, and denouncing certain officials as our enemies is what will annoy people who will try to silence me.

I didn’t attack; I simply tried to point out that we were under attack. Part of the big lie is that this is all good and necessary, that’s in our best interests. We aren’t allowed to decide otherwise without drawing their attention. For me to be so bold as to bluntly call it what it is will be seen as an attack on the other side. Calling for others to share my convictions is terrorism in their eyes. Yes, Radix Fidem will eventually be labeled as a terrorist organization.

Be aware of that if you decide to join me in denouncing their sin.

Please note: I sincerely believe they will fail this time. There’s too much resistance from too many different directions. There will be virtual warfare, but it’s already too late for the likes of Biden and friends. The real threat comes later when Trump and his friends have their comeback (whatever that looks like), and I’ll be writing about Zionism and neocons. They will most certainly be capable of knocking me offline, though it might take awhile.

So, don’t get too worried about the current information warfare. This is just the beginning of sorrows.

New Alternative Media Star: Dr. Ardis

Dr. Bryan Ardis — he’s all over the alternative video channels. He’s a chiropractor who seems to have gotten some solid medical training. All of the videos are too long for my taste, but if you like that sort of thing, look him up. Try this one:

Let me summarize for you most of what you’ll get from it.

The medical system, being very highly regulated by various federal agencies, has been turned into a weapon against the American people. It has already been pretty crazy with all kinds of mandates rolling down from the top that are most certainly bad science and bad medicine. Most of the time, as we all should know by now, it has been mandates demanded by Big Pharma, and willingly enforced by the bureaucrats. There’s money changing hands.

With the appearance of the bioweapon, COVID-19, this problem has exploded. Fauci and friends have mandated that all hospitals must use Remdesivir to treat COVID. Fauci already knew that this medication was deadly; it failed every trial. The test patients were dying of things like renal failure in a matter of a few days. He signed all the reports that nobody is reading, except for a handful of whistleblowers like Dr. Ardis. It’s never been approved as treatment for any condition ever. Now all of a suddden, it’s mandated with the intent to kill COVID patients. Fauci ordered the US government to buy up all the production of Remdesivir and keep it in the US. The hospitals get paid a bonus to use Remdesivir, which is provided by the US government.

Dr. Ardis has the documentation of this conspiracy in his hands and will tell you where to get your own copies. They are written in the Byzantine language of medicine. And this gets worse: Hospitals have all been ordered by the same bureaucracy to alter medical charts so that it looks like vaccinated people are dying of unknown causes, while unvaccinated people all die of COVID. But keep in mind that people who believe in the system will not listen to any of this. People who work in the system most definitely will not listen to you, because you don’t know what they know. And they aren’t going to listen to Dr. Ardis or anyone else inside the system, because they are all paid not to listen.

Still, the whistleblowers are organizing conferences and so forth. I’m not sure what will come of all this, but I can tell you that I do not trust the system of government, to include the medical system, for much of anything. There are lots of good people trapped by the medical system, because there are precious few alternatives. Not too long ago, you might recall how hospitals, clinics, labs, pharmacies, etc., were being bought up by a tiny handful major medical providers. There are almost no independent providers in the US. The system was rigged to make them collapse financially so that they either closed or were bought out.

This is not news to anyone who has been paying attention. We are back to the foot of the Tower of Babel. We are into another apocalypse. I’d much rather you invest your time and energy seeking the Lord’s face on how to handle tribulation and persecution. Not my advice; learn it from others. Read old books written by people who suffered persecution for their faith; start with Richard Wurmbrand. Don’t worry about his theology. Look at how his faith focused on dealing with hatred and attempts to silence the gospel message. You’ll notice that the pattern is always the same throughout history. Every time Christians caught hell for their faith, it was always masked by governments trying to deal with some other manufactured crisis, for some other cause. It was never pointed at faith itself, but always some other excuse for oppression and tyranny.

Don’t get lost in the details. Dr. Ardis is a cool guy with good presentation talents, but he’s not focused on the gospel message. Learn what you can from him, but if you start getting wrapped up in various plans of political resistance, you’ll forget why we are here on the earth.

Talk Is the Action Required

A couple of days ago I posted about a pastoral burden. All I did was alert my readers to a desire to share a vision of how we can work together as a community to answer a very real threat of persecution. Having restated who we are as the Radix Fidem covenant community in a post following that, I believe we are in a better position to delineate what I’m getting at.

I do not propose that we organize and agitate for political change, or that we take direct action to force people to stop pursuing these demonic plans. You can engage in that on your own with far bigger and better organized groups out there. It’s not sinful for you to do those things, but they are not the focus of what we do as a community. We focus on trusting God to control those things by His own hand.

Our focus is on the glory of our God. He has revealed ways that we can share together in the suffering and persecution coming our way. “The saints of God will tribulate” is the old saying, but what it means is that our witness is how we handle tribulation together, and establish an identity for all to see. We are flatly commanded to fellowship and serve the Lord together. It may be hard at times to find folks who approach religion the same way, but if we do not try, if we do not prepare for fellowship with others, we have failed.

The looming threat of apocalypse should drive us closer together, because that’s part of being driven into His arms. He is present in His people. A product of that closeness is that we confess alike both the praise of holiness and the condemnation of sin. What I’m asking is that we take steps to consciously agree to denounce certain things as “evil” as a group. We can as a group watch and analyze the nature of what’s happening before our eyes. We can see that the system is being manipulated into a killing machine. This is no longer hobby-grade politics; the government has declared war on us.

The COVID pandemic was engineered to cover a sinister biowarfare program. The virus was man made, the treatment protocols were criminal, and the vaccines are toxic. The whole program of lock-downs and mandates are meant to cover for a collapsing economy and provoke a civil war at the same time. If that’s not enough, there have been several other programs designed to enhance the social instability and economic collapse. All of these things are sin.

Denunciation of sin is not limited to some kind of document we all sign and publish. Rather, it’s the much broader array of things we do and say that show we have the same conviction about certain things. Not everyone is a writer, and even if you are, you’ll write differently than I will. What I’m talking about here is that you pray and contemplate how you can make your words and behavior consistent with the message, whatever it is you do and say.

Feel free to share with others what I write, or what others write consistently with the message. Given the nature of our online communion, that could be a major element of what you’ll do. Tell me you want something in printable format and I’ll whip it up; I know some of the others in our community can also do that quickly. But it’s more important that you live the message as a whole, that you become the message. Indeed, we should all become the message together.

This is the vision I want to share: Let’s agree to a common denunciation of sin as sin. Let’s agree to a common promotion of Covenant holiness. Let’s study together what we can hold in common about those things. The power of this is miraculous; it opens the door for God to pour out blessings in our lives. This becomes our shalom, which is critical to our testimony. We can show off the favor of our God and link it to the Covenant.

At the very least, twice each day I take time out to pray in a formal ritual act, seeking that the Lord will renew His Covenant, and call His people out to embrace it. During the day I keep on praying at various moments. I pray that He will begin stirring faith in the hearts of His people so that they will sense the need to seek something that churches aren’t doing already. Even if none of these people ever find us, I want to see His children moved to seek the meaning of His Covenant. But certainly, I would expect Him to bring us souls who need what we have.

Maybe it sounds trite to call this “action” when there is nothing that folks recognize as activism, but I sense the Lord is determined to move in a magnificent way, and He’s inviting us to get in on it. The starting point is prayer. I can’t make that come to life for you, but praying like that fires me up and brings peace in ways I simply cannot describe. And I am held by this firm assurance that God is going to act on those petitions. I can taste it; it leaves me shaking at times. This is what Christian Mysticism is supposed to do. You individually might take some particular action, but what holds us together is the shared commitment that fires all our varied actions.

I’ve already laid out prayer protocols; give them a try and see if they work for you. If not, listen to your convictions and follow them. Get used to praying out loud. Let’s talk about this vaccine mandate business and how it signals something sinister, something far more evil than just the vaccines themselves. Let’s try to understand together the bigger picture of this demonic move to seize full control over all humanity. Let’s talk about how it points to the greatest evil of all: silencing the gospel message. Let’s talk about ways to resist the censorship of our Covenant message.

And then, let’s talk about how God is going to work through our community to bring people to His truth. Let’s rejoice that His promises are true, and that He will provide for the mission to which He calls us. Let’s celebrate the signs and wonders He will most certainly grant to those who seek His face together.

Update: For those of you seeking the original “Spartacus COVID Letter” I found a copy of the PDF: COVID-19 – The Spartacus Letter. Since it’s anonymous, we shouldn’t have to worry about copyright. The original was taken down and moved to another link that people have been struggling to find, so I’m offering a copy here. Since this thing has gone viral, please take a copy and share directly so that we don’t burden this server account unduly.

More Politics, Not Medicine

Yet another revelation that the COVID plague was a cover for a plan for mass slaughter.

This is an hour long, but you can get the main point in less than 15 minutes. You don’t need the video portion; just listen to it. One of the first things you learn is that Fauci knowingly required hospitals to use medical protocols that would kill the COVID patients. It has to do with Remdesivir, which has never been approved for treating any medical problem. It causes multiple organ failures, rather like Vancomycin. It’s a treatment that kills more than it heals. Summarizing, Fauci knew Remdesivir was toxic, and made it a federal requirement that hospitals use it as a COVID treatment so that it would provoke a higher mortality rate. Then it was reported that the COVID was causing those organ failures.

What we are seeing is a massive violation of all the rules we have lived with for decades, on secretive orders from the highest levels of the federal government. We already knew that the federal bureaucracy was telling hospitals that if they could come up with even specious links between COVID and any other ailment, the hospital would get a federal bonus payment. They were openly encouraged to exaggerate the COVID case count, even to the point of fraudulent reporting.

Once more: This whole thing is one massive plot to slaughter the human race. In this case, we learn that Fauci is knowingly on board with this effort. This is criminal.
