Alternate Realities?

Someone asked the question about whether I believe in alternate realities. Yes, I believe such a thing exists. There’s nothing suggesting you have to agree with me, but I find it the simplest explanation of how God does some things.

There’s not much point in discussing all the ins and outs of it. My point is that what we experience as reality isn’t all there is in this realm of existence. I don’t pretend to understand how God keeps all of this stuff straight in His mind, but I am convinced He is able.

I’m also convinced there is no way you and I can cross the boundaries between our current world and any other parallel universes out there by our own will. God can put you or me anywhere He wants us, and anything from the various alternates can be moved at His whim, but it’s really not up to us. Further, I’m convinced He allows some bleeding over between them to remind us we do not and cannot possibly understand everything.

Nor is this the only, or even best, explanation for some things. It’s just something I consider too obvious to dismiss. That doesn’t mean there are no hoaxes; I’m comfortable not knowing the answer to everything. All I really need to understand are things that impinge on my calling and mission.

One Response to Alternate Realities?

  1. Jay DiNitto says:

I would nearly expect to see alternate realities, if I could see them, that is. It seems out of character for God to have the supernatural, and just one of “our” material realities. Within our reality, there are worlds and interactions we can detect that go on all the time, like at the microscopic level. God can do whatever He wants, of course, but I’m just following a pattern I sense.
