Personal: Printers and Knees

I now have an office grade HP printer, thanks to a donor, and thanks to your prayers.

Keep praying with me about my knees. I saw an orthopedic surgeon at the VA today. My right knee, the one that has seen lots of abuse and surgeries already, could be about due for replacement because it already had some bad spots back in 2016. It is rather stiff and hurts pretty much all the time now. The left knee has a torn meniscus, but is a very long way from replacement by his reckoning. So the issue is pain management. I’ll be receiving a couple of prescriptions and I have a new knee brace (the left knee won’t benefit much from it). I need to use my legs, but carefully. He recommended some changes in my physical therapy routine, and says that rowing is a good replacement for my aerobic fitness plans.

So I suppose now I’ll pray about a rowing machine and/or a watercraft for our many artificial lakes around here. Someone has already asked me: I have zero experience with kayaks. I’m well experienced with canoes and rowboats. I don’t have any place to keep that kind of stuff, but it’s a nice dream. Maybe if there was some kind of storage for such things I could use, it might be more realistic. I may just barely accommodate a small rowing machine in my apartment.

I’m keeping my wheelchair for things like shopping.
